Medical Assistant

Nazha Cancer Center is seeking a hard-working individual to assist our patients in navigating the complex world of cancer treatment. The Medical Assistant will schedule any new patients and meet with patients and caretakers in-person after they have been consulted by our physician team. They will assist the patient in scheduling various medical studies and specialist visits.

Duties Include:

• Coordinate physician orders by scheduling appointments for:
  • New Patient Consultations
  • Lab Tests/Radiology Studies
  • Specialist Visits/Procedures
• Obtain and manage prior authorizations for visits, tests and medications
• Perform and manage insurance verifications for new and existing patients on a regular basis and upon change of insurance
• Address patient requests, needs, and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Works closely with social work, financial, physician and nursing staff
• Billing and Insurance Appeals
• Communicate thoroughly with team members

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must be compassionate, possess outstanding written and oral communication skills, able to work independently and as a member of a team, be extremely detail-oriented and organized, and be comfortable using various IT tools to maintain records and manage financial aspects of patients' care. The patient care coordinator must also be able to prioritize and transition between several tasks at once.

• Background as medical assistant, a plus
• Strong computer skills are a must
• Experience using Navinet and various insurance management websites is essential
• Experience in Oncology is beneficial

Radiation Therapist

Nazha Cancer Center, a premier cancer center in South Jersey is associated with Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Hospital is looking for two full time Radiation Therapists for our Radiation Oncology & Imaging Division in Northfield, NJ. We are seeking candidates that possess the following:

• Certified and Licensed (ASRT and NJ State License)
• Experience with Varian linear accelerator; preferred
• Experience with ARIA record and verify software; preferred
• Experience performing CT Simulations
• Training and Licensure in Nuclear Medicine a plus
• Recent graduates are welcomed to apply and will be trained.
