Medical Oncologists specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and management of solid organ cancers, such as lung, breast and colon, as well as hematologic cancers, such as leukemia and lymphomas. They spend time dealing with issues specifically related to the establishment of a diagnosis; efficient staging of the disease; establishment of a treatment plan in conjunction with the patient and family and effective pain relief.
Time is spent coordinating with other physician specialties such as the Radiation Oncologist, Radiologist, Surgeon, Pathologist and others. Coordination with other medical disciplines is also required to ensure that the patient and families emotional and social needs are met.
At Nazha Cancer Center, patients have access to a Medical Oncologist Monday through Friday in our office. Our physicians always make themselves available in emergency situations on evenings and weekends. We're always here for you when you need us.
